Hi [FORMATTED_SUBSCRIBER_NAME GOES HERE], Soundarya here, author of 1000 Days of Love. :) I almost didn't send the newsletter this week due to exhaustion, but thanks to a nudge from a friend, here we go! Big news: The first 1000 people who pre-order 1000 Days of Love will unlock a "gift box" worth $300+ that I put together the past week. Take a look. It's for free e-books, discounts to tools (Notion, Wispr Flow, Readwise), guides on career growth, and a rare course on "how to network right."
Also, we're so close to crossing the 1000 pre-order mark, less than two weeks since we went live! Thank YOU for your support. A short storyLife feels serious most of the time, doesn't it? Getting into your dream university. Securing a job. Finding a partner. Getting laid off. Being criticized by parents, friends, teachers, and strangers. My god! At least, most of my life felt serious. Every bad thing that happened was "the worst thing that could have happened." Until the next one punches you in the face :) But then, I've found immense solace in humor - aka making terrible jokes - the past year. I talk about this in a course shot last year with my godfather, Rajesh Setty - a person who takes life less seriously than most people I've met. ~~~ Me: Were you always someone who took your life lightly? Rajesh: Yes. I didn't have any problems expressing myself, and rarely cared about what other people thought of me. In most situations, I think, "This is an opportunity that will not come again, so let's make the most of it." Nothing is guaranteed, so when you have the chance to be happy, why not? Me: But are there times when you don't things lightly? Rajesh: Of course. Whenever someone else's time is involved, I take it seriously. If I'm preparing for a course, working with a client, speaking on stage, or even doing stand-up, I care. I want to do a great job. But when it's just about me? I choose to be playful :) Me: That's why you often say you only have to please two people in this world. Rajesh: Yes. Your 8-year-old self and your 80-year-old self. Me (smiling): Hmm. Rajesh: Although, I once said this on stage, and someone in the audience yelled, "That won't always work!" I asked, "Why?" He said, "I'm 90 years old now, and I did some pretty stupid things at 80!" (lol) But the idea holds. Your 8-year-old self keeps you playful, and your 80-year-old self makes sure you don't live with regret. ~~~ Remember that. Your 8-year-old self and your 80-year-old self. How can you make them proud today? A tiny experimentExperiment: For the next week, try making decisions based on what your 8-year-old and 80-year-old self would want you to do. If you're stuck, ask yourself, "What would make them proud?' Reasoning: Your 8-year-old self keeps you playful. Your 80-year-old self keeps you from regret. Almost none of what we stress about day to day matters to either of them. A question for youQuestion: When was the last time you truly felt like a kid? A feeling of playfulness, innocence, freedom, or mischief. Hit reply and tell me. I read and respond to all emails. Last week, I asked you about one "napkin-sized" version of something you could do from today. So many of you sent responses. My favorite response came Rupal (paraphrased): For the longest possible time, I was wanting to become healthier. I've tried gyms; left them. Tried 100 diets; never consistent. I was horribly failing.
However, from the past few weeks, the "bite-sized step" that I started taking is just waking up early and NOT scrolling on my phone before I sleep. Getting a little success here and there. Loving the peaceful time at 5.00 AM while my whole family is in their best time of sleep :)
👑 Winner: Keerthika Keerthi 👑Keerthika Keerthi won a free copy of 1000 Days of Love (pre-orders opened on August 16. Book comes out early 2027). 🎉 Like before, this week's surprise is NOT hidden in the newsletter. Rather, we're gonna pick one person from everyone who responds to the Question in the newsletter. So go ahead and hit reply 😉 Quote of the week: Don't just do something; stand there. ~ Martin Gabel |

Hi [FORMATTED_SUBSCRIBER_NAME GOES HERE], Soundarya here, author of 1000 Days of Love. :) Last week's Secret Session was pure magic. So... we're doing it again. Tomorrow, I'm joined by a therapist to talk about the patterns we don't notice and how they shape our relationships, careers, and everyday lives. These Secret Sessions are intentionally small with only 100 spots. And, they're super fun ;) Secure my spot (100 only) As always, there's a gift hidden in the newsletter 😉 Make sure to send...
Hi [FORMATTED_SUBSCRIBER_NAME GOES HERE], Soundarya here, author of 1000 Days of Love. :) Before we dive into this week's letter: I'm hosting the very first ❤️ Secret Session ❤️ an intimate live conversation for this community. I'll be joined by Rajesh Setty, my godfather, mentor, and the greatest teacher in my life.
